Since 1991, Dr. Barry Gritz has offered a private psychiatric practice in Houston, Texas. He treats patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Gritz received his undergraduate degree from Queens College in Queens, New York. He then attended and graduated from Baylor College of Medicine, where he received his medical degree.
Dr. Gritz has experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, including positions as Medical Director of a geropsychiatric unit and a child adolescent psychiatric unit. He also served as Director of Case Management at MHMRA. Dr. Gritz has also been part of the medical staff at the University of Houston, where he provided psychiatric evaluations and case management for college and graduate students. Christine is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington and Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She worked in Trauma ICU before going into private practice in 2007.

Alexis has served the community with Dr. Barry Gritz since 2015. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas - Pan American Magna
Cum Laude (2001) and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas
Houston Health Science Center (2004). She continued her education at the University of Texas Arlington
where she earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing specializing in Psychiatry and Mental
Health in 2015. She maintains Board Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center
(ANCC).
Ms. Williams has more than 20 years of nursing experience in medical surgical and psychiatric services.
She is dedicated to service and committed to the welfare of nation as she continues to serve in the United
States Navy as a Lieutenant Commander in the Nurse Corps. In addition, she has volunteered with Child
Advocates Inc advocating for abuse and neglected children and adolescents under the custody of the
State of Texas.
She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and the American Nurses Association.

Dr. Emokpaire is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with an extensive education and professional background. He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Northern Kentucky University in 2024 and holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. With about half a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Emokpaire specializes in both pediatric and adult psychiatry. His clinical expertise includes the treatment of ADHHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and childhood mood disorders. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Emokpaire contributes to the future of nursing as an honorary faculty at both Northern Kentucky University School of Nursing and Walden University. His approach to patient care combines rigorous evidence-based practice with a compassionate understanding of his patients' individual needs.
